The Hyundai Ioniq 6 is the 2023 Car and Driver EV of the Year, following the Ioniq 5’s win last year. The Ioniq 6 is a stunning sedan with a low drag coefficient and a design inspired by the 1930s Stout Scarab. It shares the E-GMP platform with the Ioniq 5 and other Hyundai-Kia-Genesis EVs.

The Ioniq 6 offers various powertrain and battery options, with EPA-rated ranges from 240 to 361 miles. The dual-motor version can sprint to 60 mph in 4.3 seconds, while the single-motor version can achieve up to 140 MPGe. The car can recharge at up to 235 kilowatts, thanks to its 800-volt architecture.

The Ioniq 6 impressed with its solid structure, composed ride, and secure handling. It also has a spacious and futuristic interior, with a large curved screen, a head-up display, and a digital key. The car is loaded with advanced safety and convenience features, such as adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, and blind-spot monitoring. The Ioniq 6 starts at $40,000 and tops out at $58,000. Congrats to Hyundai!
