Sony and Honda have formed a joint venture called Sony-Honda Mobility. The company is set to unveil its first EV at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas in January 2023. The EV will be produced at a Honda plant in the US and is expected to have advanced features. It will be capable of autonomous driving at different levels and will be available for pre-order in the first half of 2025, with sales beginning later that year. The EV will be sold in the premium class and will initially be released in North America in 2026, followed by Japan. Sony-Honda Mobility is developing the EV with the aim of creating hardware for cars that support and adapt to the entertainment and network system the company wants to provide.
