VinFast, a Vietnamese automaker, has announced the arrival of its second shipment of electric vehicles to the United States. The shipment contains 1,879 VF 8 vehicles, which have a range of up to 264 miles for the Eco trim and 243 miles for the Plus trim. VinFast expects to begin deliveries of these vehicles to U.S. customers in June of 2023. The VF 8 starts at $46,000 and comes with a 10-year warranty.
VinFast is also offering a lease program for the VF 8. Qualified customers can lease the vehicle for 36 months with monthly payments starting at $414.
The VF 8 is the first of two electric SUVs that VinFast plans to sell in the United States. The second SUV, the VF 9, is expected to arrive in the fall.
