1. The number of automakers committed to the North American Charging Standard increased from 1 in 2022 to 28 in 2023, reflecting a growing industry-wide dedication to enhancing charging experiences for all electric vehicle drivers.
2. Rivian has chosen construction firm Clayco Inc. to build its new 1,800-acre production facility, Stanton Springs North, near Atlanta, Georgia, aiming for completion by 2026 to commence production of its next-gen R2 electric vehicles, with plans for 7,500 jobs by 2030 and an annual capacity of 400,000 units; construction is set to begin in early 2024.
