- Fisker produced and delivered 1,022 Ocean SUVs in Q2 2023, but lowered its 2023 outlook to 20,000-23,000 units due to supplier issues, and unveiled four new EV models for 2026 (see link below).
- Lucid Group reported Q2 revenue of $150.9 million from 1,404 vehicle deliveries, achieved key milestones including partnerships with Aston Martin and increased production capacity, and ended the quarter with approximately $6.25 billion in total liquidity, signaling progress towards its 2023 production target and the launch of new products in the second half of the year.

- Technology startup, InductEV, based in King of Prussia, has opened a research and development laboratory for its wireless charging devices aimed at large electric vehicles, with plans to expand its infrastructure nationwide, utilizing a magnetic transmitter and receptor technology to allow EVs to charge while in motion, particularly benefiting public transit operators.
- The BYD Atto 3, also known as the BYD Yuan Plus, outsold the Tesla Model Y in Sweden in July, becoming the best-selling electric vehicle in the country for the month and highlighting increasing competition from Chinese automakers in Europe's EV market.
- The European Commission has approved $1.76 billion in funding under EU State aid rules for ProLogium Technology's 'Prometheus' project, which aims to develop advanced solid-state batteries for electric vehicles and establish a gigafactory in Dunkirk, France, with the goal of advancing battery technology and contributing to achieving Net Zero in the region.
- WattEV plans to establish the largest electric vehicle charging facility in the U.S. near Sacramento International Airport, featuring 120 chargers, 30 for passenger vehicles and 90 for commercial electric trucks, powered by solar and utility-supplied energy, aiming to advance the transition to zero emissions in the trucking industry.
